How does WeFund work?
How much do you need and for what?
Work out how much you need, for what and by when. Make sure you know exactly what you need and build in a contingency. If you hit your target you owe your backers their perks, which means the show must go on!
Make it short and compelling. Be completely open with your audience. Why is your project worth backing? What will you do with the money?
What would you want?
Be prepared to let your backers into your creative process, offer them access, make them truly part of the production. Tickets, mentions in the program, backstage passes…see our tips.
Network, blog, update…
It's your job to get the word out there. If all the project creators drive traffic towards their pages then there will be plenty of cross-pollination. Wefund becomes your fund-raising campaign headquarters.
Deliver on your promises
If you hit your target, you get the funds. If you don't, you don't. This is a community built on trust and reputation – you have to deliver on your promises and stay in touch with your audience. The happier they are, the more likely they are to back you next time.
